Dennis N. Johnston began his real estate career in 1974 with Johnston, Smith and McIntosh. He then went to the Graduate School of Business at the University of Texas resuming his career with CB Commercial in 1977. He enjoyed 9 years there before joining Bill McDade as a partner in Houston Commercial Brokerage (HCB). HCB merged with the Horne Company in 1989 which later merged with Cushman and Wakefield. Dennis was with C&W for 3 years before reuniting with Bill McDade at McDade, Smith, Gould + Company. On January 1, 1999, Dennis became a named partner of McDade, Smith, Gould, Johnston + Company.
During Dennis’ 30 year career, he has sold and leased many types of properties. However, he has specialized in the sale of land to users, developers and investors and the sale of shopping centers to investors. Some of Dennis’ more recent transactions have involved The Ainbinder Co., American General Life Insurance Co., Chrysler Realty Corporation, Chudleigh Farms Inc., Core Real Estate, Cypress Fairbanks ISD, Deboben Properties, Enterprise Bank, the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, Fidelis Realty Partners, Gateway Land Development, The General Land Office of the State of Texas, Insite Realty, Jack Lee Realty, The Johnson Development Corporation, the Kroger Co., The McAlister Co., Metro National, Nelson Duffie Interests, Priske-Jones Investments, Senterra Real Estate LLC, Sherman Clay & Co., Simmons Vedder & Co., Simpkins Group Inc., Spring Branch Christian Church, Sowell Equities, Sysco Corporation, Trammell Crow Company, Vista Equities, and Wolff Companies.
